Exams allow us to check for problems before they’re allowed to get worse. Cleanings are essential in removing tartar, stains, and buildup while caring for the health of your gums. You should be having cleanings and exams done every six months as part of a solid, comprehensive preventative care routine. Even if it’s been a while since your last dental appointment, we offer care in a judgment-free, warm and inviting atmosphere.

Who is a good candidate for Dental Exams & Cleanings?
Every member of your family is a good candidate for an exam and cleaning. In fact, we often recommend that infants and toddlers as young as one year old come in for their first dental appointment. From there, it’s advised that patients come in every six months to keep up with the health of their teeth. By caring for your teeth and finding problems before they’re able to get worse, you’re able to maintain a full and healthy smile for life.
What can you expect with Dental Exams & Cleanings?
To begin, our hygienist will perform a cleaning on your teeth to remove built-up tartar and stains. The hygienist will then polish and floss your teeth before checking your gums. The gums are carefully measured to check for pocketing, which could be a sign of gingivitis and gum disease. The doctor then comes in and performs an examination to determine if any additional work is needed. We will create a treatment plan if you are going to need other work done in the future.
